Every year for the past 35 years, the Portland Symphony concerts have been successful. The 2015 series was one of the most exciting to date.

Aside from some rain before the concert at Cathedral Park, and a little sprinkle
before intermission, all concerts happened on dry, warm evenings.

The orchestra performed in virtuoso style delivering dramatic and lyrical moods to large and appreciative audiences. Congratulations to ALL!

This year’s concerts featured young guest-conductor Cameron May and former Oregon Symphony resident conductor Gregory Vajda, who contributed in the best musical tradition to the enjoyment of classical orchestra music.

As I thank the musicians for their excellent performances I also want express my gratitude to our wonderful sponsors and supporters whose generosity make these concerts –now a proud Portland tradition of 35 years - possible.

Let’s keep symphony music in our lives.
